BONUS STEP: Define the type of donation and personal data requested from donors
Follow this Quick Start Guide to create a Form and get ready to receive donations!
Before starting, ensure you are at your Dashboard (Home). To do that, click on the Stockcrowd or Dashboard item on the upper left side of your account menu.
1. Create a new Form
From Home, select the New Form option and click on the button Create a Campaign.
2. Set up Basic Campaign Information
A simple form will open up, where you must add the basic information for your campaign.
You will be required to define the following information for your campaign:
(a) Campaign Title: Choose a title for this campaign. This title will be displayed to donors with the description you will define in the following steps.
(b) Currency: Choose the currency available for your donations in this campaign.
Please keep in mind that it is only possible to choose one currency per Campaign.
However, you can link campaigns with different currencies creating a Campaign Cluster, but don't worry about that for now 😉
(c) Country: Select the country where the donations will be processed.
This is important to adjust the tax information and donation certificates Stockcrowd makes available for each region.
(d) Base Language: You must choose the base language in which your donors will see the campaign.
To create a multi-language campaign it is possible to add translations whenever you see a flag icon 🚩. We recommend adding this after you have finished setting up your first campaign.
Complete these basic steps, and click on Continue to save your changes.
3. Describe your Campaign
You will see in Main Data the information you have added in the previous step and some additional fields.
Just add a Brief Description to your campaign, and Save the changes.
4. Add a Background Image
On the Campaign sidebar, click on Header and Footer to customise the design of your campaign.
Select the Header tab to find options to add background images or a video to your campaign.
Select the option Image or slideshow to add a background image for your campaign. You can also add multiple images, which will be displayed as a slideshow.
Click on the button Browse to add your images.
We have now completed the Form's basic information and will add the details of the Donation Box in the next steps.
5. Customise your Donation Box
You can now define the information for your Donation box. 👇
We advise you to add the brand colours typically used by your Organisation.
To do so, on the Campaign sidebar, click on the dented wheel to go to the Campaign Settings section.
Select the Donation Box subsection.
On the Customise Tab, Customise the colour of your Donation Box, and Save the changes.
DONE! (Preview Campaign) 🥳
After you are finished, save your changes, and you will be ready to Preview and launch your campaign with a Form!
❗️ Please check this Article to see how to Preview your campaign.
❗️❗️ After previewing your campaign, you can Activate it to start receiving donations. Please check this article for more information on how to do it.
BONUS STEP: Define the type of donation and personal data requested from donors
With the information you have set up in the previous steps, you could already launch a campaign.
If you want to customise your campaign a bit more without going beyond the basic steps, we recommend setting up the Donation Box information.
Still within the Donation Box Settings, you'll find the Data tab.
Under this tab, you can define the main data displayed and requested to donors, such as:
Payment: Choose the kind of donation accepted among One-off donations, Recurring donations, both, or no payment (just to collect subscriptions).
What kind of person can donate: Choose among Natural persons, Legal persons, or both.
Identification fields: Choose what personal data will be required from donors.
and much more!
❗️ Please check this article to find more information about all possibilities of customising your campaign's Donation box.
