Depending on how your StockCrowd account was configured, it is likely you have to complete some additional steps before activating your campaign.
Don't worry! We will let you know all the steps you need to go through whenever something is missing ππ
Requirements for Activation
When you try to activate a campaign, the following warning will pop up if you haven't completed all your steps:
βοΈ The steps in red will be required in order to activate the campaigns.
π The ones in orange are recommendations, even though they are not fully necessary to activate the campaign.
β If the steps are in green, it means they already have been completed.
The required steps are:
1. Donation Certificates Settings
Please notice that the option to issue certificates using StockCrowd will be selected by default.
No certificates
If you do not wish to issue donation certificates you can choose option "No" and continue to activate the Campaign
βοΈ We advise you to select "No" if you will have GiftAid enabled (UK only).
Issuing Certificates
If you wish to issue certificates using StockCrowd, select this option.
If you did not set up the Certificates when creating the Campaign, you would be required to finish this task before activating your Campaign.
Once you finish setting up the certificates, you will be able to change the certificate options for this Campaign.
2. Payment Gateway setup (StockCrowd PAY or others)
You must set up a Payment Gateway to process the donations.
You can use StockCrowd PAY (recommended) or another Payment Gateway available for your plan.
Once you have set up your Payment Gateway, you can activate your Campaign and start receiving donations.

3. Configure your Billing Data
When you first create your StockCrowd account, you must fill in the Billing information in order to activate your future campaigns.
Once these are configured you will be able to activate your campaigns.

4. Recommended Features Setup
You will see in orange some additional features that are not essential to activate a Campaign, but are recommended:
Campaign URLs
Customise the URL and Hosting options for your Campaign.

If you want to customise the URL and see the available hosting options, select the link icon (π) in the URLs column.
βBy default, StockCrowd will provide you with a link for you to share with donors to access your campaign, however, it is recommended that you add a custom URL to make it more specific to your organisation and make it easier to find your campaign.

If you have an IT person on your team, you can introduce your Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager tracking code and track your Campaign's behaviour.

Social Media
Boost your Campaign's reach by allowing donors to share your Campaign through Social Media.
With just a click, your donors can share your Campaign on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp.

βοΈ We advise completing this step before activating your campaign. If you download the Campaign's HTML and embed it before doing this step, you must embed it again after these changes are implemented.
How is the "Activate Campaigns" section distributed?
Within the Activate Campaigns tab, there are different sections that can help you to locate your campaigns, as well as the status and logs.
1. Campaign Filters
Use the Filters to search for your Campaign:
2. Campaign Status
Your Campaigns can have different statuses:
Pending: Your Campaign still can't receive donations. You might have to review the pending settings of your Campaign and/or Account before you can activate it.
βActive: Your Campaign is live and ready to receive donations! β
Ended: If you set a final date for your Campaign, it will automatically end at the chosen date. After a Campaign is Active for the first time, you can Finalize (End) or Reactivate it at any time through the Activate Campaigns Section.
3. Campaign Status' Logs
Click on the Logs column to view all the changes made in the Campaign's status and the User who made them.
Activate your Campaign
Once you have everything ready for the launch of your campaign, you can activate it with a few clicks!
a) From the "Activate Campaigns" section
You can do it from your Dashboard in the Activate Campaigns section.
Here you'll see all the active and pending campaigns. You will also be able to activate the pending ones:
Find the Campaign you wish to publish and select the Activate option:
b) From the Dashboard (Home)
You can also start the activation from the Home screen or Campaigns Dashboard, viewing your Campaigns with a Pending status.
Click on Pending and then select the option "Activate".
This action will take you to the Campaign Activation Section as mentioned in the previous steps, where you can activate your Campaigns.
