Once you understand what is StockCrowd PAY and have activated it in your account, you can use it as Payment Gateway in your Campaigns.

In this article, we will explain how StockCrowd PAY works within your Campaign, as well as the Payment Methods that you can use with it.

Please, take into account that StockCrowd PAY is the only Payment Gateway available within Starter and Scale plans.

For Premium plans, we still recommend using it as the primary Payment Gateway, as it is more stable and has more functionalities than the other payment gateways.

1. How to configure StockCrowd PAY as my Payment Gateway?

Depending on the periodicity of the donations, there are different Payment Methods available:

One-Off Donations

Recurring Donations

Debit or credit card

SEPA Debit

Transfer via SOFORT

OXXO

Bacs Direct Debit

Wallet

Once you have gone through the previous steps of activating your StockCrowd PAY account, you'll have to set up and select the Payment Gateways you will use in your Campaign. Here are the details of our Payment Methods:

2. Types of Payment Methods accepted

2.1. Debit or credit card

Here the donor is going to have to add their Card Number as well as the details for the payment to be able to go through.

If you are planning to allow donors to make recurring donations, you must activate the "Activate credit card pay within recurring donations" option in the left part of the settings.

2.2. SEPA debit

❗️Please keep in mind that when selecting SEPA debit as a payment method, you also need to allow this type of payment in your Stripe account settings.

In this Payment Method, when the donor adds their bank account details through Stripe, the system sends the order to the Bank.

Once the order is approved, the payment goes through.

To make this option available for your donors, you must allow it when setting up StockCrowd Pay as a Payment Gateway (Stripe settings):

By clicking the option "Allow IBAN of campaign base country only", the SEPA payments will only be allowed only for donors who have a bank account based in the same country as the Campaign.

Example: If you chose Spain as the country base for a Campaign, the system will only allow payments with IBAN from Spanish bank accounts.

2.3. Wallet

❗️Please, take into account that the use of Wallets is currently not compatible with Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Campaigns.

Enabling Wallet as a payment method gives the donors the option to pay via Google Pay or Apple Pay.

After clicking on the button to pay, they will have to give permission for the payment to go through.

Please keep in mind that Google Pay and Apple Pay will only work if the donor has this possibility configured in their device. That being said, it is possible to use those methods both on desktop and mobile devices.

2.4. Transfer via SOFORT

❗️Please take into account that when selecting Transfer via SOFORT as a payment method, you also need to allow this type of payment in your Stripe account settings.

In this Payment Method, you are allowed to donate only if your bank account is based in Spain / Austria / Germany / Belgium / Italy.

To make this option available for your donors, you must allow it when setting up StockCrowd PAY as a Payment Gateway (Stripe settings):

By adding a maximum amount, if exceeded, donors that use this payment method are not going to be able to go through with it.

It is advised to select the option "Show offline transfer message when the allowed limit is exceeded",

So that donors will be informed to proceed with the donation as per the details you have indicated in the settings of Offline Transfers.

2.4.1. International Banks

To enable donations from bank accounts in the UK, Mexico, and the USA, it is crucial for your organisation to mark the respective checkboxes and authorise those payment options.

👉 Besides the donations, if the option is activated, donors can also choose to cover the service fees of the transaction, in order to know more please visit this article.

3. How to Display Payment Methods

After completing the setup process, you have the option to modify the display of items, including altering their order or deciding whether to make them visible to donors.

3.1. Alter order

To change the order of the methods, you'll need to select the one you want and drag it to the position you want.

3.2. Hide Payment Methods

By clicking on the eye icon in the method of your choice you can hide it from the Donation Box.
