Hosting Options

Once your Campaign is activated, you can decide how it should be hosted.

If you wish to Customise the URL and check the Hosting options available, click on the link symbol 🔗 under the URLs column to view the options available.

Click on the Link icon of the Campaign you wish to edit the hosting options.

Within the options, we can find the code to embed the donation box on your website.

Hosting in Stockcrowd - Customise the URL

If you would like to host your Campaign with Stockcrowd you can click on "Customise Url."

Once you do so, you will open more Customisation options for your URL.

A subsection will be opened where you can select:

⭐️ You can create multiple URLs for your Campaign. Click on Customize URL to create a new link to your Campaign, and set it up as you like!

Template: Depending on the type of Campaign, you might be able to choose the template you wish to use.
Language: Choose the language of the Campaign that will be displayed by default when accessing the URL. This will be very useful if you are going to define a URL per language.

If none of the languages of your Campaign is more important than the rest, we recommend using the "All Languages" option from the dropdown.

Domain: Choose the Domain for your Campaign.

If you don't choose any particular embedding option, your Campaign will be hosted with the Stockcrowd standard URL, which you can customise as per the next step.

Custom Domain (available for Premium plan)

❗️ If you need a Custom domain name, please write to [email protected], and our team will help you (available only for Premium plans).

❗️ ❗️Please keep in mind that the options to set up a custom domain require implementation from someone who manages your website, preferably with technical knowledge.

To use a custom domain name you must point it to our CNAME, for us to host on your behalf.

Technical requirements for Custom Domains

1. Domain

This can be either a domain or a subdomain of the organisation, as you choose.

Make sure to configure the domain or subdomain with "www." as some browsers do not work without it.

We also recommend choosing a FAVICON, the URL of the small image/icon of your organisation.

2. DNS CNAME

The DNS CNAME record is an alias for domain names that share the same IP address.

CNAME records are a type of DNS record used to "point" a subdomain to the Stockcrowd domain (acting as Canonical or the default domain).

You must point the domain/subdomain you choose for your Campaign to the following Domains from Stockcrowd, according to the type of Campaign created:

❗️All CNAME records must point to Stockcrowd's domain as we inform below, NOT to an IP address.

2.1. CNAME for Forms, Landings, E-Commerce, Showcases (All Campaigns except P2P)

Point the domain to the CNAME campaign.stockcrowd.com

⭐️ Example: myorganisation.donatenow.com CNAME campaign.stockcrowd.com

2.2. CNAME for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Campaigns

Since P2P creates sub-campaigns within the same domain, it is necessary to add a *. (asterisc and dot) before the chosen domain, and then point it to campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com

⭐️ Example: *.myorganisation.donatenow.com CNAME campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com

❗️ Please note that once this is done and confirmed with our Support team, we will send you a code (CNAME record) to add to your DNS configuration.

This is necessary so that we can validate the SSL Certificate (Wildcard).

Custom Subdomain and Path

Even if you don't customise the Domain, you can still customise the Subdomain and Campaign Path for your Campaign:

Embedding options

❗️ Please keep in mind that all embedding options require implementation from someone who manages your website, preferably with technical knowledge.

If you want to embed only the Donation box in your Website, you can choose one of our Embedding Options to do so.

Please select the Dented Wheel to view the Options column to see all the Embedding Options available.

1. Embedded Form: Choose this option to embed the Donation box directly into a section of your website.

2. Modal Form: Choose this option to embed the Donation box into a button or link on your website.

3. Download HTML: In the case of a Scale or Premium plan we also have the option to download the full HTML file of the Campaign, which you can then upload to your website.

❗️ If you have a Premium plan, you can follow the instructions in this article on how to set up a Custom Domain. If you have a Scale plan, you must download the Html and manage the hosting outside of Stockcrowd.

❗️❗️ You must copy the snippet using your common copy/paste keyboard commands (Cmd + C for MAC devices, Ctrl + C for other devices ).

Paste it (Cmd + V for MAC devices, Ctrl + V for other devices ) and send it to the person who manages your website.
