Once your campaign is activated, you can decide where it will be hosted. You have three main options:
Hosting on Stockcrowd: Host it on Stockcrowd servers with a customized URL
Custom Domain: Use your own custom domain
Embedded on your organization's website: Embed it directly on your website.
Each option has different levels of customization and technical requirements.
If you want to customize the URL and see all available hosting options, select the 🔗 icon in the URLs column.
This screenshot shows the location of the link icon in the Stockcrowd interface. When you click on this icon, a panel will open with all your hosting options.
Select the link icon for the campaign you want to edit to access all available hosting options.

Hosting on Stockcrowd
If you want to host your campaign on Stockcrowd servers, you can fully customize your campaign's URL. This is the easiest option if you don't have your own domain or prefer not to configure DNS records.
To host your campaign with Stockcrowd, select the "Customize URL" option to expand all available options:
This screen shows the form where you can customize your Stockcrowd URL. Here you'll select the template, language, and domain for your campaign.
In this section you can select several elements to customize your URL:
This panel shows all available fields to customize your URL: template, language, domain, subdomain, and campaign path.
⭐️ You can create multiple URLs for your campaign. Click on "Customize URL" to create a new link for the campaign, and configure it according to your needs.
Template: Select the design template you want to use (if the campaign type offers more than one available option).
Campaign Language: Choose the language in which the campaign will be displayed by default when users access your URL. This option is very useful if you plan to create different URLs for each language. If no language has greater importance than others, we recommend using the "All" option from the dropdown menu.
Campaign Domain: Select the domain where you want to host your campaign. If you don't select a custom domain, your campaigns will be hosted by default with the standard URL offered by Stockcrowd, which you can customize in the following steps.
Custom Domain
If you want to use your own custom domain instead of the standard Stockcrowd domain, you need to contact our support team. This functionality is available in the Professional and Premium plans, and can also be purchased as an add-on in the Essential plan.
Please note that this applies to your campaign domains (forms, landings, stores, showcases). If you're looking to configure a domain for your P2P marketplaces, availability by plan is different (see the 2.2. CNAME Configuration for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) section below).
If you have any doubts about whether your plan includes this feature, contact us by email or chat 💬 and we'll confirm it for you.
❗️ If you want a custom domain, please write to us at [email protected] or use the chat icon 💬 on this page, and our team will help you configure it according to what your plan includes.
❗️ Please note that configuring a custom domain requires the involvement of someone with technical knowledge who manages your website or domain.
To use a custom domain, you must point your domain's DNS record to Stockcrowd's CNAME (canonical name). This way, Stockcrowd hosts your campaign on your own domain.
Technical Requirements for Custom Domains
If you want to configure a custom domain, you must meet several technical requirements. These requirements include having access to your domain, the ability to modify DNS records, and the necessary information about your organization.
1. Domain
Your domain must meet the following requirements:
It can be a full domain (for example, mydomain.com) or a subdomain of your organization (for example, donations.mydomain.com).
If you use a full domain, you'll typically need to set it up with the "
www" prefix (this is how most domain providers require it). Don't worry: we issue the SSL certificate for both the "www" and non-"www" versions, so both will work correctly. If you use a subdomain, you don't need to add "
www": you can set it up directly, since adding it would only make the address longer for no real benefit.
This will be the domain or subdomain you'll use later on to set up the CNAME.
2. DNS CNAME
A DNS CNAME record (Canonical Name) functions as an alias that points a domain name to another, allowing multiple names to share the same IP address.
CNAME records are a type of DNS record that is used to "direct" your subdomain to the Stockcrowd server (which acts as the canonical or default domain to host your campaign).
You must point the domain you chose for your campaign to one of the following Stockcrowd CNAMEs, depending on the type of campaign you've created:
Campaign Type | Target CNAME | Requires Wildcard? |
Form, Landing, E-commerce, Showcase | campaign.stockcrowd.com | No |
P2P: one or two marketplaces (Professional plan) | campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com | No |
P2P: more than two marketplaces (Premium plan) | campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com | Yes (with *. in front of the subdomain) |
❗️ Important: all CNAME records must point to the Stockcrowd domain indicated in the table, NEVER to an IP address.
2.1. CNAME for Form, Landing, E-commerce, Showcase (all campaigns except P2P)
You must point your domain to the following CNAME: campaign.stockcrowd.com
⭐️ Examples:
Full domain: www.donaahora.com CNAME campaign.stockcrowd.com
Subdomain: miorganizacion.donaahora.com CNAME campaign.stockcrowd.com
2.2. CNAME Configuration for Peer-to-Peer (P2P)
For your P2P campaign space to work with your own domain, you need to configure your DNS.
Basic configuration (one or two marketplaces with defined domains): Professional or Premium plan
This configuration applies when you have one or more marketplaces and want to assign a specific domain to each one (up to 2 marketplaces in the Professional plan; unlimited in the Premium plan, see advanced configuration below). In this case, you must create one CNAME record for each domain you want to use, pointing your subdomain to: campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com
⭐️ Example: challenges.yourdomain.com CNAME campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com
This will allow P2P campaigns to be displayed under your own URL.
❗️ SSL Certificate Validation: once you've created the CNAME, you must notify our Support team so we can issue and validate the SSL certificate (secure browsing with https).
Advanced configuration: multiple marketplaces (wildcard): Premium plan
If you have a plan that includes more than one P2P marketplace (unlimited marketplaces in the Premium plan) and want to manage them from the Stockcrowd dashboard, we recommend using a wildcard configuration (a record that automatically generates multiple subdomains, without needing to configure them one by one).
In this case, you must add a *. (asterisk followed by a period) in front of the subdomain:
⭐️ Example: *.challenges.yourdomain.com CNAME campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com
❗️ Once you've created the CNAME, you must notify our Support team so we can issue and validate the SSL certificate. In the case of a wildcard, we'll provide you with an additional code (also CNAME type) that you must add to your DNS. This step is essential.
What does this mean? With this configuration you can have URLs like:
event1.challenges.yourdomain.commarathon2026.challenges.yourdomain.comschool-charity.challenges.yourdomain.com
…without needing to configure each one manually.
Quick Summary
One or two marketplaces → Simple CNAME (e.g.,
challenges.yourdomain.com)More than two marketplaces → Wildcard CNAME (e.g.,
*.challenges.yourdomain.com)Always pointing to → campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com
Requires additional SSL validation with support
Custom Subdomain and Path
Even if you don't want to use a fully custom domain, you always have the option to customize the subdomain and path (route) of your campaign within the Stockcrowd domain.
Although you don't customize your full domain, you can customize both the subdomain and path of your campaign:
This screenshot shows the fields where you can customize the subdomain and path (route) of your campaign. The subdomain will appear before the Stockcrowd domain, and the path is the additional section that appears after the domain.
Embedded on your organization's website
If you'd rather not host your campaign on a separate URL, you have the option to integrate it directly into your own website.
❗️ Keep in mind that the embedding options require implementation by someone with technical knowledge who manages your website.
If you want to integrate your campaign into your website, you can choose to embed just the donation box or, if your plan allows it, upload the full page's HTML. In both cases, you can select one of the available options to complete the integration.
You have the following options to embed your campaign:
Embedded form: Select this option if you want to embed the donation box directly as a section integrated into your web page.
Modal form: Select this option if you'd prefer the donation box to appear in a modal (pop-up window) when users click a button or link on your website.
Download HTML: If your plan includes it, you'll also have the option to download the full HTML code of your campaign, which you can then upload to your own web server.
You can find the full step-by-step guide for each of these integration options in this article.
❗️ If your plan includes a custom domain, you can follow the instructions from the previous section to configure it. If not, you can download the HTML and manage the hosting outside of Stockcrowd on your own server. If you have doubts about what your plan includes, write to us at [email protected] or via chat 💬.
❗️ You must copy the code snippet using the standard copy and paste commands from your keyboard: Cmd + C on MAC devices, or Ctrl + C on other devices. Then paste the code (Cmd + V on MAC, or Ctrl + V on others) and send it to the person who manages your website.
❓Frequently Asked Questions
Can I create multiple URLs for the same campaign?
Yes, you can create multiple URLs for the same campaign. This feature is very useful if you want to target different audiences or languages. Simply click on "Customize URL" in the hosting options panel to create a new link, and configure it according to your specific needs. Each URL you create can have its own template, language, and custom domain.
Do I need to update my DNS every time I create a new URL for my campaign?
No. DNS changes (the CNAME record) are only needed once, when you connect your custom domain or subdomain to Stockcrowd (for example, myorganization.com or donations.myorganization.com). Once that's set up, you can create as many URLs (paths) as your plan allows within that domain or subdomain. For example, myorganization.com/campaign1 or donations.myorganization.com/campaign2, without needing to touch the DNS again.
Is it necessary to have technical knowledge to configure a custom domain?
Yes, configuring a custom domain requires basic technical knowledge. You'll need to access your domain's DNS record configuration and create a CNAME record that points to Stockcrowd. If you don't have this knowledge, you can ask for help from the person who manages your website or domain.
What is a DNS CNAME record and why do I need it?
A DNS CNAME record (canonical name) is an entry in your DNS configuration that acts as an alias, directing your domain or subdomain to the Stockcrowd server. You need it because it allows your custom domain to be hosted by Stockcrowd without transferring domain ownership. The CNAME must always point to a Stockcrowd domain (campaign.stockcrowd.com or campaignp2p.stockcrowd.com), never to an IP address.
Can I embed my campaign directly on my website without needing a separate domain?
Yes, you have two options for embedding your campaign directly on your website. You can embed the donation box as an integrated form in a section of your page, or as a modal form that appears when users click a button. If your plan includes it, you can also download the complete HTML code of your campaign and manage it on your own server. These options require someone with technical knowledge to implement the code on your website.
What plan do I need to use a custom domain?
The Professional and Premium plans include custom domain: the Premium plan with unlimited domains, and the Professional plan with one included and the ability to purchase more. In the Essential plan, custom domain can be purchased as an add-on. The Light plan does not include this functionality.
Please note that your campaign domains (forms, landings, E-commerces, showcases) and your P2P marketplace domains are counted separately, each with its own availability according to your plan:
Domains for campaigns: the Premium plan has no limit; the Professional plan includes 1 and allows you to purchase more; in the Essential plan it can be purchased as an add-on; the Light plan does not include this feature.
Domains for P2P marketplaces: the Premium plan includes unlimited domains (with wildcard); the Professional plan includes up to 2 marketplaces with their own domain; the Light and Essential plans do not include this feature as they do not have access to P2P.
If you have doubts about what your current plan includes, write to us at [email protected] or via chat 💬 and we'll confirm it for you.
