Dynamic forms allow you to adapt the frequency and amount options of your donation boxes according to your donors' profiles, making it easier to target different audiences with personalized settings for each group.
What is a dynamic form?
A dynamic form is a form whose frequency and amount options automatically adapt to your donors' profiles. This functionality allows you to create different configurations of your campaign's donation box and generate a unique URL for each one.
With this tool you can use the same campaign with different configurations to target specific audiences. For example, you can create a version for donors who typically contribute smaller amounts and another version for more generous contributors, all from a single base campaign.
How do you create a dynamic form?
To create a dynamic form, you must access your campaign's donation box settings and customize the frequency buttons. Here we show you the process step by step.
Access the donation box settings
Within your campaign, click on Settings ⚙️ and select Donation Box. Then go to the Payments tab to start customizing the buttons.
Customize the buttons
In the Payments → Frequencies section, for each frequency added to the configuration, you will find a button called "Edit details" that will allow you to add a description and an image for each amount added to the frequency.
💡 You can use different descriptions and images for each button
Each frequency button can have its own description and image, allowing you to create a completely personalized visual experience for each configuration.
❗Once you customize your buttons, remember to save the changes
It is essential that you click save after making any customization to the buttons. Without this step, the changes will not be applied to your campaign.
Create new configurations
When you save the initial changes, go to the Configurations section. From here you can manage all your saved configurations and create new versions of your donation box.
In this section you can:
Edit the data of saved configurations to make name and/or description changes to an existing version.
Add a new configuration to create an additional version of your donation box.
When you add new configurations, they will appear in the dropdown menu. By selecting a configuration, you will be able to see and modify the frequencies, amounts, and details to target a different audience.
How do you configure URLs to display a donation box configuration?
To display a specific donation box configuration, you must use a special parameter in your campaign URL. This parameter allows you to direct different audiences to personalized versions of your donation box using unique URLs.
Use the /?cfguuid= parameter in your campaign URL, followed by a token that identifies each donation box configuration. We show you the process below:
Copy the ID (token) of the button configuration you want to use
Within the Configurations section, locate the configuration you want to use. Click the copy button to get the unique ID (token) of that configuration.
Add the parameter to your campaign URL
Add the
/?cfguuid=parameter to the end of your campaign URL, followed by the ID (token) of the configuration you want to display.Example:
fundacionbenefica.org/socios?cfguuid=ea873ef3-1d7d-442d-84c5-df9dd10010aa
❓Frequently asked questions
Can I create multiple configurations for the same campaign?
Yes, you can create as many configurations as you need for the same campaign. Each configuration will have its own unique ID (token), allowing you to generate different URLs to target different groups of donors with personalized proposals.
What happens if I don't add the cfguuid parameter to the URL?
If you don't add the /?cfguuid= parameter to the URL, the default configuration of your donation box will be displayed. The parameter is optional, but necessary only if you want to display a specific configuration different from the default configuration.
Can I change the amounts of a configuration after creating it?
Yes, you can edit any configuration at any time. Simply go to the Configurations section, select the configuration you want to modify, and edit what you need.
What is the difference between editing a configuration and creating a new one?
When you edit an existing configuration, you directly modify the data of that specific version of your donation box. When you create a new configuration, you generate a completely new version with its own unique ID (token), without affecting existing configurations. This allows you to maintain multiple versions simultaneously.
Do I need to save changes after customizing each frequency?
Yes, it is essential that you save the changes after customizing any frequency in your donation box. Without clicking save, the modifications made will not be applied to your campaign and you will not be able to create additional configurations.
