If you use a Google email account, whether you use Google Workspace or a free Gmail.com account, you should be notified about upcoming changes to their login service for apps like ours:

What are they communicating?

Starting September 30, 2024, Google accounts will no longer be able to be associated with third-party applications that use basic authentication, meaning those that only require a username and password for user authentication, including the StockCrowd messenger service.

What do you need to do?

To ensure that thank you emails can continue to be sent from your Google email server (SMTP) configured in the Messenger service section of your campaigns, you need to follow these steps:

Once you have completed these steps, simply go to the email server (SMTP) settings of your campaigns in StockCrowd and replace the current password with the application password you created in step 3.

❗ ❗ ❗ Please note that while the application password generated by Google will contain spaces, you need to introduce it without any space.

We explain how to access the email server settings for your campaigns in this article.

If you have any questions about these changes or any other aspect of our platform, feel free to contact our support team via chat or by emailing [email protected]. We are here to help you at any time.
