StockCrowd can email you every time there is a problem with the payment of a regular donation, so that your organisation can react in time. This article explains which types of notification exist, how to create a notification setting the email address and the language you want to receive it in, and how to modify or delete it afterwards.
1. Receive a notification when a regular donation payment fails
StockCrowd lets you receive a notification every time there is a problem related to the payment of a regular donation.
This way your organisation can act in time and, if needed, contact the donor so that whatever caused the problem is resolved and the recurring payment goes through correctly.
The affected subscriptions are managed from Regular givers: how to modify, pause, unblock or cancel them is covered in Manage your regular givers and their donations.
2. Know the types of notifications
These are the types of notification about failed regular donation payments that you can receive, and when each one is sent:
Notification type | When is it sent? |
Subscription blocked | Sent when the payment cannot go through because of a problem with the donor's payment method: an expired or disabled card, or a bank account with insufficient funds. |
Subscription cancelled | Sent when the donor cancels their subscription from their personal area. |
Card expired or about to expire | Sent when the donor's card has expired or is about to expire (available only for Stripe, Paypal and Braintree). |
Payment with dispute | Sent when the donor contacts their bank to dispute a payment made to your organisation through Stripe. This Stripe article explains how to proceed in the event of a dispute. |
Direct Debit declined | Sent when a payment related to a SEPA debit fails. |
