If you have been managing recurring donations outside StockCrowd, you can import them into your campaign so that they are managed from our software from now on. This article explains what you need to import them, how to download and fill in the Excel import template, and what happens after you upload it. Importing recurring donations is only available in Spain.
Requirements for importing recurring donations
To import into StockCrowd the recurring donations you have been managing outside our platform, you need two essential things:
Stripe as your payment gateway, with SEPA debits enabled.
Enough data about your donors to fill in the import template.
How to import your recurring donations step by step
Importing recurring donations takes three steps: download the Excel import template, fill it in with your donors' data, and upload it to your campaign.
1. Download the Excel import template
You download the import template from your campaign. Open your campaign and go to Management → Regular givers → Options → Download template to import regular givers (XLSX).
Clicking this option downloads an Excel template, where you need to fill in the data of the donors you want to import.
2. Fill in the Excel template
In the Excel import template, you fill in the data of each donor you want to import.
❗️In the import template, the Código Contable column must contain a different sequential number in each row. If it doesn't, the system will accept the Excel file as valid, but will only import the first row.
Some columns in the template require a specific format. Check the format for each column in the information provided in the document itself, and fill it in using that format:

IPC column and Custom Fields columns
The import template has an IPC column, and you can add columns for the Custom Fields of your Donation box:
IPC column: it works if you have IPC enabled in the campaign. Enter the letter S in the cell to indicate that the donor has accepted the increase.
Custom Fields columns: add one column for each Custom Field, using its ALIAS as the column name, and fill in each cell with one of the values associated with that field, whether it is a list, a number, etc.
For example, to import two donors, one with IPC and one without, in a campaign whose Donation box has a Custom Field you want to import:

3. Upload the completed template
Once your import template is ready, upload it from the same Options button (Management → Regular givers → Options), this time clicking Import regular givers (XLSX). Importing donors is automatic and immediate.
What happens after you import recurring donations
Although importing donors is immediate, the SEPA debit charge is not: collecting the imported donations can take up to 15 days.
While the charge is being processed, and until the bank confirms it, the imported donations appear in the pending donations section. Once they are confirmed, you can see them in the "Transactions" section, along with the rest of your campaign's donations.
The donors you import with this template become regular givers of your campaign. To manage them afterwards (changing the amount or frequency of their subscription, or pausing, cancelling or unblocking it), see Manage your regular givers and their donations.

What do I need to import my recurring donations into StockCrowd?

Why has only the first row of my template been imported?
If only the first row is imported, the most likely reason is that the Código Contable column doesn't have a different sequential number in each row. In that case, the system accepts the Excel file as valid, but only imports the first row. Check that each row has a different Código Contable and upload the template again.
How do I import IPC and Custom Fields for my donors?

🔔 IPC adjustment and Custom Fields in the import template
IPC adjustment (Índice de Precios al Consumidor, the Spanish Consumer Price Index): the import template lets organisations adjust recurring donations in line with the IPC. When you import the template, if a record contains the value 'S' in the IPC field, the IPC adjustment will be enabled for that campaign.
Custom Fields in the Form: the import template makes it easier to update the Custom Fields specific to each campaign. The new columns in the template must match the names or the alias of the form's Custom Fields so that they are validated and processed correctly.
