In this article, we show you how you can collect bank details from your donors so that you can manage the payment and receipts from your CRM or organization directly.
1. How to add this Payment method
There are two ways to include CRM Transactions as a payment method in your Campaigns:
a) If you already have an online Payment Gateway activated, such as Stripe, Redsys or Paypal, all you need to do is activate the option "Allow payment details for CRM"
b) However, if this is going to be your only Payment Gateway, you can activate the option "Collect payment details for CRM".
2. What Data can you gather from donors?
The information that donors add with this Payment Gateway is the same that other donors would add in other online payment types, which can be configured in Settings > Donation box > Data.
Besides their personal data, donors are going to be asked to add their bank account number and the name of the account holder.
In order to have access to this data, you have to access Management > CRM Transactions.
In this section, you can create a report to have all the donor's records, or you can individually manage specific donors to update their bank details.
3. What does an offline donation imply?
Please keep in mind that with this payment gateway, the platform is solely gathering the donors' data, therefore the organization has to manage the payments.
The CRM transactions are not confirmed by StockCrowd, as payment has not been made yet.
Which means:
The donor will receive a thank you email, however, the donation certificate is not going to be attached.
The donation is not going to be added to the campaign's process.
These donations are not going to be added to the other ones since these are not confirmed yet.
Things to keep in mind
This method isn't recommended for E-Commerce campaigns. Since these payments are not confirmed, everything that is acquired using this method is not going to be in the report nor will affect the campaign's stock.
If you would like to have the CRM donations displayed in the Campaign and in the Donors section, you must add them again as Offline Donations.
