Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Multi-Language Campaign

Your campaign can be available in more than one language, this way you will be able to reach a bigger audience that can know more about your goals and reach your donation goals successfully.

Add more languages to your Campaign

StockCrowd campaigns can be in one or more languages, however, when first creating your campaign, it is mandatory for you to select a base language for it.

👉 In case you want to change it, you can do so by accessing Content > General Configuration

And within the section Main data > Language you will be able to change it if necessary.

The available languages we have on the system are the following:

English

Spanish

French

Catalan

German

Basque

Portuguese

Galician

Italian

Japanese

If you want your campaign to be available in more than one language in this article we will explain how you can add translations.

When you first create your campaign you need to select a base language for the campaign. You can then later add translations for the other languages that you need.

How to add a translation

❗️Please keep in mind that these steps do not apply to Peer-to-Peer (P2P) campaigns. In order to know how to translate them please check this section.

1. Click on the flag symbol

In order to add a translation, you will have to find the flag symbol within your StockCrowd Account beside the text you want to modify.

2. Select the language you want to translate to

Once you click on the flag, a window will appear with a drop-down list of the available languages on the system.

You can then add the translation for the custom text. Once you have added the translation, do not forget to click on "Save changes".

3. Preview your campaign

Once the translations have been saved, you will find that when previewing the campaign a language selector will appear in the top right.

Once you click on it, it will display the list of the languages you have translated your campaign to.

❗️Please, remember to translate all the custom text that you add to your campaign, looking out always for the flag symbol.

How to delete translations

To delete any translation, firstly, you will have to select the flag symbol of the text box you have previously translated.

Once you have clicked, the following box will appear. Select "Clean" and your translation will be deleted.

❗️Please make sure to delete all the translated text boxes in order for the campaign to update correctly.

How to add a translation with Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Campaigns

❗️ The languages available for translation in Peer-to-Peer campaigns are English, Spanish, Catalan, and Galician.

Within Peer-to-Peer campaigns you will be able to add translations in two ways:

1. By versions

This setting is solely in the section Content.

❗️Translations within the Content options are only available within the sections "Marketplace header", "The project" and "Marketplace footer"

To add the translation, you have to click the "By default version" button, which is a drop-down list of the available languages in the lower part of the platform.

Once you have clicked, you will see the list of languages.

💡 "By default version" refers to the base language of the campaign.

Here, you will have to click the language you want to translate to, and after adding all your text, click on Save.

1.2. Delete your translation

To delete the translated text, you will need to access the section that was previously translated and select the "Remove translation" button.

Once you have clicked the button, a pop-up message will appear

Select "Yes" and the change will be saved.

2. With Flag Symbols

In the other sections, you can add the language by clicking on the flag symbols that are displayed alongside the text boxes or images.

👉 In order to know more about adding translations with the flag symbols, please check the previous section.

2.1. Delete your translation

To delete the translated text, you will need to access the section that was previously translated and select the bin icon.

Once you have clicked the bin, a pop-up message will appear

Select "Delete" and the change will be automatically saved.
