Receive Notifications for Issues in the Payment of Periodic Donations

We explain how to receive notifications every time a problem occurs related to the payment of a periodic charge

1. Receive a notification

StockCrowd allows you to receive a notification every time a problem occurs related to the payment of a periodic charge. In this way, your Organization will be able to act in time and eventually contact the donor so that the incidents that have caused the problem can be resolved and the periodic payment completed correctly.

2. Know the types of notifications

You can receive the following types of notifications:

Type of notification

When it sends?

Subscription blocked

Sent when payment cannot be made due to a problem related to the donor's payment method: expired or non-enabled card, bank account with insufficient funds.

Subscription canceled

Sent when the donor cancels his subscription from his personal area.

Card expired or about to expire

Sent when the donor card has expired or is about to expire (Available for Stripe, Paypal and Braintree only).

Payment with dispute

Sent when the donor contacts their bank to dispute a payment made to your Organization through Stripe. This Stripe article explains how to proceed in case of disputes.

Direct Debit declined

Sent when BACS direct debits are declined.

3. Set up notifications

In order to set up notifications:

  1. Go to Campaign > management > periodic charges

2. Click on the Options dropdown and select Notifications

3. Click on Add new email to notify to create a new notification

4. Enter the email address which you want to receive notifications to

5. Select the language in which you want to receive notifications

6. Select the type of notification you want to receive

7. Click on Add new email to notify to create a new notification

At this point you will have created the notification

Modify or delete a notification

In order to modify or delete a notification:

  1. Go to Campaign > management > periodic charges

2. Click on the Options dropdown and select Notifications

You will be shown the notifications that you have previously created

(a) Modify a notification

  1. Click on the pen-shaped icon

2. Modify previously created fields

3. Click on Add new email to notify to save changes

(b) Delete a notification

In order to delete a notification:

  1. Click on the trash can icon

2. Click Yes to confirm and delete the notification
